Hari Patel - Pupil Barrister

Hari joined CANDEY as a pupil in September 2026. Before starting pupillage, Hari worked as a paralegal in the China team at a US firm. His experience included several high-value disputes involving aspects of civil fraud, insurance and contractual performance spanning arbitral and related court proceedings in Hong Kong and the British Virgin Islands.Hari read Chemistry at the University of Oxford, where he graduated with a First Class integrated master’s degree and was awarded the Casberd scholarship for academic performance by St John’s college. He subsequently completed the PGDL at BPP University and the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, achieving a distinction in both. He was also awarded the No 5 Chambers prize for his performance in the Bar Course final assessments.
