William Sanders - Paralegal
William read English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford where he was awarded a Prize for Excellent Achievement by the Governing Body of Trinity College. Having completed his PGDL at City, University of London he undertook his Bar Practice Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, ranking second in his cohort in civil Submissions Advocacy. William’s vocational studies were supported by a Lord Diplock Scholarship awarded by Middle Temple.
William was the Winner of the six-round Rosamund Smith Mooting Competition 2025 in which he was also awarded the Ede & Ravenscroft Prize for the Best Individual Performance overall. William’s legal academic writing has been published in Wolters Kluwer and the City Law Review; the latter publication being awarded an Excellence in Advocacy Award by the Editorial Board.
Before starting at CANDEY, William worked in Oklahoma in a Federal Public Defender’s Office defending clients on Death Row and also as a legal research assistant to a financial services barrister. He serves as the Administrator of the Financial Services Lawyers Association.
